I have made numerous attempts to contact the builder and warranty department with major issues on my new home. We moved in on Nov. 1 with a list of issues promised by the builder to be complete within 1 month. It is now March 4 and nothing has been done. We are experiencing black soot coming out of all of our vents throughout the house because we have a furnace that must have been dropped during transit or installation.
Air Tron, the company that installed the furnace, came out at the end of February and told my husband that we do have a major problem, but he is not the one to make the decisions on replacing the unit or just fixing it. His recommendation to my husband was to make them replace the unit, not fix it. He told my husband we would hear back from someone in a couple of days. It has now March 4 and we have not been contacted by anyone in warranty or at Air Tron.
My son and I both have been sick since the day we moved in with severe allergy problems which we never had before. It took me calling the highest person at the warranty office and leaving his secretary a message for someone to just call me back.
My problem is still not fixed, but this is only one of the major issues. There are many more. I hope to get the message across to new home buyers, not to ever close on their dream house if it is not the dream home they want.
