On July 31 I purchased two magazine subscriptions from a "door-to-door" salesman—college student who claimed to be selling magazine subscriptions in order to win a trip. I fell for the scam and wrote him a check for $62 which was cashed, but no magazines have arrived to date (8 mos later). I called the number at the top of my sales receipt—mailbox full. Then I did a Google search to see if I could find more info about the company. Up popped several reports from other people who had been scammed too! One very kind individual advised me to report this to the Denver District Attorney's Office which I've done. I've also reported it to my local police department. I've learned my lesson and will not purchase things from people I don't know.
