I worked for norrell/sprint around 1999. The training was normal, except once we got our schedules, the hours were just too much, so a caucasian employee told me that she went to the recruiter and had her hours changed with no problem and told me to do the same. The recruiter is an obese arrogant crazy psychopath named damaris. Other people in training told me too about how they had been harassed and mistreated by this recruiter and yelled at on the phone.
When I went to damaris to ask for a schedule change, not only was I mistreated and harassed by this crazy evil nutcase, but she also accused me of coming to her in the past to change my hours. This was a complete lie, and fabrication and I had no clue why she kept accusing me of this. She told me that she couldn't change my hours, despite several others tellign me their hours were changed with no problem. During training I also requested some time off because I had traffic court to attend to. I was told I could do this with no problem, yet the liar damaris used this against me, due to the corrupt and rude trainer too, also claiming "you missed parts of training!" The hours were too much for me and due to that I had to leave the job.
A year later, I decided to try going back since I didn't feel like finding a new job at the time. When I called about the situation, once again I had to encounter this evil psychotic b*tch named damaris. She literally harassed me on the phone, kept yelling at me and putting me down, telling me that I didn't do a good job, or something to that extent, and that if I came back I could under probation. At the time I had no clue what probation was, so I just said ok that's fine. I set a time to go in to fill out paper work, and the moment I walked back in the office, that psychotic troll damaris began yelling at me, harassing me insulting me and putting me down in a really despicable and terrible hostile way that I can't even describe. She even began accusing me of coming in on the wrong day to fill out paperwork, though that was the day I had set up the time to go in. She kept saying angrily "you BETTER do the job right this time, and you CAN'T screw up" and so many other strange ridiculously insulting things that were meant to be belittling or stress me out.
I was so upset at her condescending mean sick attitude towards me I wanted to punch her out, but I just took it because I wanted the job, but no recruiter should ever be allowed to yell at employees in this deranged and hostile way, and no employee should be subjected to this type of ridiculous abuse, but at norrell/sprint it's just a regular part of being an employee there. This position is just a basic customer service position. I've had many CS positions at different companies, yet was never abused and mistreated the way I was at norrell/sprint, and by this crazy deranged evil recruiter. During training, I was literally stalked by a trainer, who kept bothering me and even telling me that I could take a day off training. Because I was 'on probation' I was almost treated like a criminal. If I was to come in late, I was supposed to call in. One day I had to come in late and called in, but someone didn't get the call. When I walked in, 6-7 managers began surrounding me and just cornering me, and almost harassing me saying "you didn't call in, you didn't call in." I'm like—yes I did.
Regardless, I was treated like I committed some kind of major error. Finally they found out that some idiot at the company didn't give them the message. One day, two employees got drunk, and partied too much and didn't show up for work. Not showing up for work is grounds for termination, yet these employees/drunkards got away with not showing up and not calling in and were not reprimanded at all, yet I was interrogated and harassed for claims that I didn't call in, when in fact I did call in. On top of that a trainer there was coercing me into taking a day off. Because "I had been to training before." This is a corrupt company, run by nutbags and jerks. Norrell mistreats employees and treats young women like criminals, harasses them, bullies them and allows deranged mean crazy recruiters to consistently harass employees.
They allow drunks to miss training and don't make a big deal out of it, but if someone they feel "didnt called in late" they mistreat them, corner them and bully them, also making false accusations. The people who work there are just creeps and walk around angry and mean. Later after leaving that terrible abusive environment, I called the boss of damaris to try to complain to him about her abusive, and evil behavior towards employees, yet he had no response and was trying to stick up for her. This is a really corrupt and terrible company that mistreats employees, bullies and harasses them, makes false accusations and defends crazy evil mentally ill angry recruiters who mistreat, harass, and bully employees because they are sick in the head and deranged. Many other employees had the same complaints about this obese lunatic, yet nothing was done to stop her from treating employees like this. Sprint/norrell is a nightmare of a company to work for, for college students just trying to make some extra money. Stay away from it.
