Grantland Johnson was the past Secretary of the California Department of Health and Human Services, and a past Sacramento Supervisor. Johnson was replaced by Kim Belshe in the state office, a replacement that can't be anything but good. Johnson was secretary under Governor Davis, who prompted the state's voters to have a special recall election and got ousted. Johnson was a typical Davis-era choice, who handled the state office as ineptly as he handled Sacramento when he was a supervisor.
Johnson's policies and political practices are so amateurly handled he placed the entire state at risk when he was the head of the CHHS, as seen by the wasted effort that California's Proposition 36 has turned into. The state's populace can only hope that Johnson will never be in any position of responsibility again, where he could further harm the residents of the state.
