I was interested in purchasing a Shih-tzu puppy and found Debbie online. After several conversations, she sent me pictures of the puppy's parents and i sent her a deposit on the puppy. I kept an eye on Debbies website and noticed how many puppies she kept putting on the site every week. I had told Debbie I wanted a female pup, and she convinced me a little boy would be just as great. She failed to tell me she had litters arriving almost weekely or twice weekly and that I could wait just a few days and be able to choose a female pup. She told me all her dogs are home raised by her, but that is impossible unless she lives in a barn. She cant possibly be home raising all the pups she puts online.
Several conversations later and after taking my money, Debbie let slip that the picture of the Mom she sent me was not actually the puppy's mom, but an aunt of the pup. I started investigating further and noticed that she had listed the pup's father as a red male online, but the picture she sent me of the father was of a brindle Shih-tzu and labled as such on the picture she sent. She took my deposit under false pretenses, and as yet I have not recieved any of my money back. I will not accept another pup as repayment from her, because I dont trust a word she says. I have caught her lying to me on many occasions now, and tho she is very sweet when speaking to me, she lies repeatedly. No reputable breeder would send pictures that are supposed to be of a pup's mother and father when they are not.
I have since talked to other customers of Debbie/DAnn. One lady was told that the Pup was homeraised by DAnn and when her papers for the pup came, the owner was not Debbie/Dann at all.
Another bought a pup as a breeder, and when it obviously was not, Debbie refused to make good with another pup or return any part of the money paid for said pup.
The Better Business Bureau in Oregon also has a report on file against Debbie, but didn't list her new alias and new website.
I will be calling to report both later today. Please beware of this woman and any dogs she is selling. She may very well occasionally sell a dog that is what she says it is, but her behavior tells me that any one buying a pup from this lady is taking a very big risk of not getting a healthy pup that is what she says it is. I would not be sure her pups had the shots that are required either. At one point she told me she gave her pups their first vaccination at 5 weeks. Well I dont know of any vet that suggests pups first shots before 8 weeks. Another lie I am sure.
And if other customers are an indication, I will have to retain my lawyer to get my deposit back from this woman.
