Hi folks, The story is getting deeper!!! A little info... I am a single mom of a 10-year old in NJ... Went from making 50 a year, perfect credit, the bomb droped off, so to speak, after 911... Went to 16 a year... 04 has been a nighmare, lived 6 different places, car repoed in June of 04... Been walking ever since... My mail was going to my mom's house... Keep getting notices from Palisades Collections in NJ... Along with 15 other creditors, the last thing on my head was that. Got my unemployment in Dec. Of 04, re-opened an account, trying to do the right thing... Jan. 4th, no money... Find out Pressler and Pressler, representing Palisades collections levied my account, NO notice, a notice 10 days later from the bank. They were called on the 11th, faxed copied of the deposit, the unemployment, was told it didn't mean ANYTHING... The 17th, I receive a SIGNED warrant from the Judge, stating (I may) be arrested... A letter from them saying (I WILL) be arrested the 28th if I do not comply with an information subpeona... Said they mailed that in mid-November... Never did, I was at my mom's house... They need that information so badly because THEY DO NOT have any... I sent a letter, I will today, and we will see what the 28th brings... This is the deal.
Palisades and ASTA are one in the same... Asta claims it is a "Consumer Receivable asset Management Company"... Use English please, my how they get by on words. You are a credit collection agency. They purchase charge-offs and debts not to be considered "Prime" by the cc companies... Buy them at an 80-88% profit margin... 12-20 cent on the dollar... Turn around and SUE the consumer at the alleged debt that was owed originally... How is this happening??? And how is it legal??? ITS NOT Yes, I owe providian, but I do not owe ASTA, Palisades, nor Pressler and Pressler... That debt was sold, which makes the primary contract NULL and VOID... And the reason all you are coming up with these bogus charges are the fact they are hooked up to ALL 3 credit Bureas... And have access to you and your information at all times... What right did ASTA (descript above) have to go into MY credit, find MY checking account, and do what they did? CC companies and Collectors may go in, but ASTA? I am ready to fight... Anyone know a good corporate lawyer who has the balls? Because If I have to go to jail, I am ready to ripp them open wider then Enron... Until next time...!!! (ADD New Century Financial into this... They also purchased my other providian, and they are associated with P&P out of North Jersey... I will have the story shortly...
