Store # 31743, Manager Sam, is abusing his employee's work rights. For Closers, he refuses to pay his employee's past 11PM, despite forcing these workers to almost always stay past on some nights up to an hour or more. The manger's reasoning is previous employee's 'milking the clock', which is understandable, but for cases such as the Pre-Closer not showing up to work, or forgetting a part of their job (such as panning the bread) before clocking out, these things will cause the Closer to stay later, or not be able to finish the job in time. (Which for Manager Sam, is grounds for his employee's termination.)
If this illegal conduct wasn't enough, this manager also takes broken equipment and the change-machine's errors from the wages of his employees at random. This manager also promotes the use of dirty gloves and unsanitary utensils for the purpose of "saving costs".
As a customer, I am enraged at these facts for this store number. I know for a fact that this manager runs 3 stores in my area (Coral Springs, FL), all of them are worse than the next. Store # 31743 may be in a clean, and respectable area, but the business happening inside is anything but.
I want these employee's to be paid what they deserve, allowed to throw out a pair of gloves from the floor and wear a new pair as opposed to slipping the dirty floor gloves back on to prep. Food with, and this manager to be reprimanded for his unprofessional business decisions. If a formal apology/action plan is not given/implemented - I will seek legal support.
