I was billed $20.00 (2 separate charges of $10.00) for an address change for myself and my son. I went online and googled change of address and their site came up first WITH the USPS logo on it and I thought I was on the official post office site and went ahead and changed my address and was billed the $10.00 apiece. A month ago, I had to change my address the first time I moved (I moved twice in a month), and when I did, I must have gone to the official Post Office site, because they only charged me $1.00 each change. When I saw the difference in price, I called the number on my bank statement and I got a very disagreeable woman on there who gave me a hassle when I asked her why the charge was ten dollars.
She then said I had to have gone on their site or they wouldn't have my info and I argued that I had gone to the Post Office site. But she told me theirs is the very first site showing on the browser and it is. But I don't understand why they are allowed to have the Post Office logo (USPS) on it. They scam you into thinking that it's the Post Office and then they charge you $10.00 each request.
