Hi,
I would like to seek your help for a matter that is really distressing me.
I rang this company, probably a couple of month after seeing an ad for a free trial of Nude by Nature Products. I was asked many leading questions which for the most I didn't really understand what the operator was talking about and all i wanted was this free trial. Excuse me if i sound a bit stupid but i didnt really know what a free trial was at that time (my first language is French), it was my first and for sure my last time. I gave them my bank details and so forth and later on that day i saw two transactions from the said company one was $1 and the other $50. Therefore i rang the bank to enquire about it and was told that a beauty company was trying to retrieved this money on my account and got told to cancel my debit card by the bank officer which i did. I then rang the company to enquire about the previous and they said i asked for a Shellac Nail Varnish which I do not recollect. They said that i will only have to pay $1 for a fee about something and i said i didnt want to have anything to do with them as i thought they were very dishonest people. I received a box full of Nude by Nature a couple of weeks later to my great surprise. I didnt not really bother about it.
I have since been away visiting my parents in France and only just came back this week and when checking my mails saw a letter from a debt collector asking me to pay $199.95.
I rang the debt collector company after going through many phone calls (Coast to Coast Debt Collectors) and after explaining everything i got told, "how would you like to pay for that" as if I expressed all my grievences to a wall. How can this world be full of so much dishonesty. I want to know what your advice would be, to pay or go to the customer's affairs. I already told them and they said they have recordings.
Thank you for your patience
Marilene
