Gemma Joffroy is a SCAM.
When looking for a Macbook on Craig's list, I found a nice one for an insanely low price. After corresponding through several emails, I sensed that something didn't add up.
Thankfully, I found another person through Scam Book who had also crossed paths with Gemma Joffroy. The email responses concerning the product were the same.
Don't send your money to Cargo Force!
Here is what she said when I asked about the laptop:
First Email:
Hi, This is Gemma, with the 17" Macbook Pro sale on Craigslist.
I'm now in Montreal.
I've added some pictures with the Mac to this email.
It was bought in 2012 and it still has warranty remaining.
As you can see in the pictures, it's in perfect shape.
Hoping that you still want to buy it.
Second Email:
I have found a company called Cargo Force that will deliver the Mac to you in the US and allow you to check the Mac before I receive the payment. You will be in control of your money and I will be in control of my Mac.
I will use 5 day delivery and I will take care of the shipping fee. Please have a look at their procedure and we will go from there.
