I had filled my tank with regular unleaded gasoline ($35.00) and proceeded to work. After work while driving home my car started to putter and shut off. I waited a few minutes and started it again, the same thing happened. It started to putter and shut off. I had the vehicle towed to the mechanic and after checking everything he took a gas sample. It was 80% water. I contacted Sunoco customer service and they had ESIS insurance co. Call me back. They handle claims for Sunoco. Since this has happened I am not only out of a vehicle and money for rides from people etc. I also lost wages from my employment because I could not get into work. I am getting the run around and I was told it could be 30 days until I hear something.in the meantime I sit and so does my mechanic. I think it is unfair to treat the consumer this way. I have always bought gas from Sunoco and for the past 4 years I've bought it at the same station, same location. I have never had a problem. I just wish their was help out there for the consumer to get the situation resolved quickly.
