I approved a charge which even now is still pending on my Chase account for 199. Then I did an internet search to review Standard Capital US and found that many people had reported it as scam. So I called the credit card company right away. They said the charge was pending and that I could dispute it once it went through. I asked them to note that I had reported that it was reviewed to be a scam and that I would be disputing it asap. Then I called the company to try to get them not to follow up with the charge, and they did what I expected to do. They said that they could not stop the charge because I had logged into the website. The person making the "sale" led me to log into the website right away. I told them I would be disputing the charge since it was reported to be a scam. They wanted me to wait three months, well after my ability to dispute the claim had passed. But I told them that I would be disputing the claim with my credit card company right away. They said if I did that I would lose my right to get back the 199 after three months. The bottom line is this: if it looks too good to be true, then don't get greedy or hopeful. One person said that they had checked the address reported and that it was fraudulent.
