The stories are all sounding very familiar. I ordered a pair of shoes but what was sent was a complete pair of garbage. There wasn't even an attempt to look like an imitation. The website was offering it for less than half the price I saw in two stores. So I figured it was wholesale, or that Ecco had too much inventory, etc, etc. If I had known ahead of time this was coming from China then I wouldn't have even spent 2 seconds in considering to give them my business.
I was trying to get them to give me a location that I could return them to get a refund but they said they didn’t have any warehouse in North America and that it would cost a lot in shipping for me to send them back. As a result, they "offered" that I buy another pair and they would take off 20%. After about 5 more emails back and forth they came down to 30% off……. Still a joke.
The big problem is that your credit card can not help you in this case because you still have possession of the goods. This was the reason I was trying to find a warehouse that I could return them at. If you still have possession of the goods, the credit card company can not reverse the charge. I did ask for their input though…. Their advice was to contact Canadian Customs to report them. If they have enough complaints, any package arriving from this horseshit company will get refused into Canada, therefore allowing customers the option of cancelling it with their credit card company.
