I was called about this family shopping club. I'm not sure how they got my number but they told me if I paid $4.95 to receive information about this club I'd receive a $100 gift card to Walmart or target.By the end of the conversation I was getting sucked into paying anther shipping fee for a discount travel leisure something or other. After being on the phone for a while I specifically asked the man "if I pay the shipping fee, I will get a $100 gift card?" He said yes.instead I received 4 $25 rebate vouchers that I can use once a month to get $25 to the store if I spend over $100. I called the number to cancel my account which charges almost $20 a month. I spoke to the women who was extremely rude. I asked why I was told I would get a $100 gift card and she started explaining what a rebate was as if I was stupid. I told her I know what a rebate is and I wanted to know why I would be told that if it didn't happen and she said "well, the people who market this for us aren't suppose to go into detail." This of course made no sense to me, I asked her a few more questions and she said "ma'am, I'm not going to continue going back and forth with you." This was the end of the conversation, I was enraged not because of the little money I spent but because of the deception and terrible customer service. I hope everyone reads this and realizes the family shopping club is just a scam.
