Hi my name is Jasmine I am a 19 year old female who just graduated from high school and who had plans on going to college. But now i dont. After graduting I moved into my own appartment, low income, cant afford much, have a small child, and i'm a goal setter. I had "hand me downs" when i got my 1st place but with my job, after the bills were paid i'd put any extra money torwards things to make my appartment look nicer. For example one of my first goals was to get a bigger televison for my living room because i had an intertainment stand that cand hold up to a 27in. Screen tv and i had just a little 13in.in this big space and it looked kinda silly. So later i finally got a 27in. Then i got furniture for my son's room then came the big living room furniture. But after i reached all my goals of getting nice things for my place, i wanted to get a computer but not just anything i wanted a laptop, i knew this goal would be tough because laptops are really exspensive and it would take me a really long time to save up for one of those. Plus i also wanted to go college and this would make it easy because i can do my school work from home and not have to spend hours at school or at the library. So i made a deal with my self, if i bought a nice laptop i would go to school.
So on day i went down to check my mail and i got a letter from Sweepstakes Clearing House and inside the letter were ads with pictures and descriptions of items they sell. There were cameras, tv's, luggage sets, tupper ware etc. And then i came across and ad that had a laptop it was really nice 256mb dvd player 200dollars worth of software and it didnt look old, me, i'm all about style and looks in items. So i wanted to buy it with my 410 dollar voucher discount i would only pay 989.99 for the laptop. The following week i went to the local loan company and took out a loan for the exact amount 989.99. And i sent the check to 1555 regal with next day delivery! I was so excited i coulnd wait to get it! This is the most money i've ever spent on any one thing. I waited about 2 weeks my laptop didnt come in the mail yet - Sweepstakes clearing house said 3-5 business days. So i called them the next monday to ask them what was taking so long for me to get my laptop. They said that i still need to pay them shipping, so i just thought o ok shipping, i guess they dont add that on allong with the price after the voucher, so i asked them if they would accept debt by phone, and they said yes so i gave them my debt card number and my laptop was home in the 3-5 days they said.
I opened it took it out of the box i was very satisfied with what they sent me, very satisfied it work very well the first month i had it aug but before the end of the month i spilled a little water in my key board and none of my keys were working, and i started to cry, but instead of sitting there i try to stop the water from going in the inside by dapping it dry with a dry cloth. I got it to where there were only like 5 keys that wouldnt work. So the next morning i called customer support, i couldent tell them that i spilled water in my laptop or they wouldnt fix it (because of the warenty), so i just told them that some of the keys quit working and they just gave me a tracking number to put on the package and they wanted me to send it back to them for repair. So on saturday sept, 4th 2004 i went to my local post office to mail out the laptop, and then i went home. The following week i went on a vacation trip and i was gone for 1 month and since i was going to be gone for a while i had my laptop to be delivered to my work.
Well i did not get back home untill oct, 6th 2004 and i couldnt wait to get home to use my laptop again! So after i got home i went to my work to pick up my laptop, and my manager said that that nothing came in yet and i thought they were lying and i asked them if i could check the backroom that maybe they missed placed it or something and there was nothing there. So i decided to go to the post office and they dont have it, we called the post office in dallas tx filled out a 1510 form (some kind of tracing sheet). And when i got home i called sweepstakes clearing house and asked them about my laptop and they told me that they never recieved it for repair yet. And after hearing all of this i just started to cry, i only had that laptop for 1 month. When friends and family saw me they told me that my face was swollen from crying to much. There was not much that i could do. I already called the postoffice they couldnt help me because of reimbures me because i didnt put insurance on the item. And sweepstakes clearing house said that they couldnt reimburse me because they werent the one's paying for shipping. But after all of this i stayed on both the post office and SCH (Sweepstakes Clearing House)
I called SCH every day and the postoffice 1 a week I called the main posoffice in Washington D.C. Made a police report, and even spoke to the postal insectors. But now on this day december 28 the postal inspectors got back with me on this and they told me that they did a full investigation and my laptop did indeed reach dallas tx and someone there at 1555 regal row did accept it. The person i spoke to with the postal inspectors told me that they accepted the laptop repaired it and are probly going to re s Some people in this world are dirty and the people at SCH are below
dirty there are employees there that know what goes on and i think they should give people back what they paid for and tare down that warehouse they run.
I'm very upset about this and if any SCH employee reads this just want you to know, were on to you and if you cant call me back and handle this in a honest " we care about customer care and their needs " then the last step on the postal inspectors list is to take your company to court over this matter and others, because by what i was told I'm sure not the only one your company has taken advantage of so i have hundreds of others fighting too and were going to put you out!"I GARENTTEE IT"
