Received a phone call from Civil Investigations Unit claiming I was named as respondent in a retraining order and provided a docket number and phone #252-375-3449 to call or notify my attorney. I called the number and they said I owed $5000 from Mastercard account with HSBC from May an they were going to sue but I could settle this right away. The scary thing is they had my address and social security number. They could not provide me with the supposed account number and put me on hold and came back and said they could settle right now for $1000. I was sure this was a scam but spent several hours checking with credit card company. The name they gave was Riley Smith and a Mr. Hall.
