I have purchased a few items from Louis Vuitton in the last years, one being a pair of shoes. I really enjoyed these shoes but after wearing them for 4 months the patent leather started to wear off. I brought the shoes back in and explained I had them less than a year and they were already falling apart. The first girl I spoke with was very nice and offered to send them to be repaired as in her own words "she has never seen that happen before". After a couple weeks I receive a phone call from another employee who informs me that this is normal wear and tear and I shouldn't be so hard on my shoes I can come back and get them if I still want them but they were not fixed and would not be. I told her I had much cheaper shoes that lasted a year without and issue at all, none the less I picked up my shoes I continued to wear them for a small amount of time after but then the gold buckle on the back also came off and now I just have to throw them away. I am now having issues with a tear in the leather of my purse only to be told its normal wear. Before this particular pattern came out I was a coach girl and they are the most WONDERFUL company when something is wrong with your bag no matter the time period! They don't make you feel inferior when you bring an item in because it's breaking!!! No one at Louis Vuitton stands behind their very pricey bags... Such a shame that a great name like Luis Vuitton is damaged by arrogance and lack of customer service.
