I sent for a free sample of a moisturiser back in November. The information stated that only postage & packaging had to be paid. I discovered when I received the items, that the company then state that payments will be taken out of your account each month, so I called to cancel, but could not get through. I therefore also called my bank to ask them to flag any activity from this company and any payments that try to get requested.
Unfortunately, apparently the company had requested a payment on 27th December I called my bank on 28th December and so even the payment left my account on 28th, my bank cannot reclaim it.
I have complained by email to the company, but they refuse to refund me the money.
I would not mind so much (even though I can afford the extortionate £74.95 they have taken from my account: (), but the moisturiser wasnt even any good. It made no difference to my skin than any other cheap High Street brand. I therefore feel this is completely abusing my rights as a consumer. Could you please help me?
The product is Veloura, the Company appears to be called Natural Health Network, and here is an image of the amount taken from my bank;
