Months ago this happened to me, so any continuous authority payment on my card was cancelled. The card was also cancelled. However another payment has gone out of my account under the old debit card number! A didn't know this was possible. Barclays have refunded my account and are going to monitor it over the next 90 days and inform me accordingly should any further payments occur.
