This is written by a qualified I. T technician on behalf of a customer.
The customer came in with their machine asking if i could find out what was wrong with it. They had said that they used the service from this company and that it just simply shut down, to come to a "Blue screen" error message that they didn't understand. Upon some research i found the error was hardware related, and so i moved the clients hard drive to my own machine and attempted to boot the drive to recover any information. Upon doing so i was displayed yet the same error message, telling me that what every was wrong with the drive was not allowing it to boot at all. I then attempted to gain access in other ways to find that the drive had been "Locked-Down" upon realizing this i replaced the clients drive with a new drive from my store and upon re-installing the OS. Found that the computer would no longer boot and was beeping. I soon recognized the tone and was able to define the problem to the processor, Which had stopped working. Upon replacing i found that the PC was unable to be upgraded due to manufacturers coding of the BIOS. Therefore my client has had no choice but to unfortunately purchase a new machine at the cost of £309 ($470 [Exchange rate correct at time of report])
My customer reports that he had contacted the business to ask for help speeding his machine up, and after remote connection with the company the problems arose. He has since then not been able to contact the business at all; with nobody answering the phone. He has been trying to get in contact with the comany Cyber Pc Experts for the past 2/3 days with no success.
