I ordered the BellaGenix stuff and received the sample with a letter saying after 14 days if I did nothing they would take an extra £74.95 from my account. I spoke to my bank (Halifax) and described what happened and read them the letter, they immediately blocked any further payments to this company and any payment requests from agents/companies not previously on my account or not authorised by me. So I have no problem but want to help others and add my voice to yours. I just called BellaGenix and told them the following: they are prevented by asking for more money by the principle of estoppel - please look this up and you'll see what I mean. Also I believe that once I had paid the £3.49 for the sample the contract was concluded. I have been into town to find out how much it would be to return their sample jar, and told them I expect them to send me a cheque for a refund, the cost of the return, and £30 compensation to me for the time I've had to waste. I offered them two options - accept the £3.49 as a complete contract of sale, or if they want the jar back send me the money I've asked for, within 14 days. I told them if they pursue me through small claims court I will take a case against them for malicious prosecution for which the minimum damages are now £6,000, so it will simply make me money at their expense. The representative listened politely and said he will pass on what I said to senior management and I will be hearing from them shortly. Also I demanded that once this is over they remove all information about me from their database and I expect written confirmation. I will now also report them to the Trading Standards Department and the Advertising Standards Authority. I hope this is helpful and would advise anyone else to take exactly the action I have, particularly in instructing their bank or building society who are most likely to understand and block any further payments once the circumstances are explained to them. I'm not sure about the contract of sale position can you confirm this for me? If I'm right about that I would advise anyone who's paid the £3.49 and received the sample just to keep it and refuse to pay any extra. Thanks and I hope to hear from you soon
