Fraud, Neglect... OptumRx/United Healthcare. Neglected a 61 year old, line-of-duty 100% disabled patient with a surgically implanted boston scientific pain computer with electrodes inside, up & down my spine. They refused me my pain medications. Without my medical history or any exams by anyone. Please read this post. My doctor treated me for 50 years, they stopped my pain meds. COLD! My Rx Coverage FOR 2013 was "changed" by A UN-KNOWN Fl. Medicare Subcontractor, ALL WITH Out my consent or permission. (An illegal practice called "slamming"). Next OptumRx/United Healthcare sent me a letter via: U.S. Mail. A WRITTEN PROMISE to, "PROVIDE ALL MY PRESENT Rx MEDICATIONS, Without interruption and at a CHEAPER cost than MY LAST PROVIDER", a total lie. The first month of Jan ALL MEDICATIONS WERE COVERED. On 1-feb,4 medications (four) of my 8 (eight) medications were suddenly refused, no explanation or warning. Upon calling the CUSTOMER SERVICE representatives, they were uncaring, dis-compassionate & curt at best "civil" was the tone, c/service operators kept saying, "YOU HAVE NO CHOICE!"..."YOUR DOCTOR MUST PICK A DRUG ON THE APPROVED LIST"!! They did not tell me about my "right to appeal". After legal research, on feb, 1, i filed a demand for accelerated appeal to get a mandatory 7 day answer to be given back a medication i have needed for the past 6 years. There is no medical equivelent med for my exact physical needs. Optumrx/united healthcare took 60 days for 2 (two months) i became sick in bed with severe arthritis and with a weight loss of 21 pounds. After neglecting my needs and pleading communications. Ignoring my doctor's care plan. All my further communications... They took 60 days and approved the medication anyway!!! In their approval letter the dates indicated a total process time of 7 days??? They took 60 days!!! The optumrx letter was unsigned, no email return address supplied, no telephone number provided! The time line was a lie (60 days, changed to 7 days) of being forced to wait, 60 days of stonewalling me, my pharmacy and doctors medical staff. OptumRx forged the dateline to comply with federal law. The optumrx letter does not show the name of my florida rx provider at all!!! My providers name and location is in the state of florida.in florida rx benefits are enforced & regulated strictly via: a fl. State agency. OPTUMRX, IS BASED IN OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA??? I WAS FORCED INTO ILLNESS AND REFUSED MEDICATIONS BY INDIVIDUALS IN OKLAHOMA!!! My doctor in miami has seen me for 50 years!!! I became bedridden and VERY ILL! For 2 months my numerous contacts to customer service were ignored. With every call to customer service, I WAS REFUSED A SIMPLE EXPLANATION THE 7 DAY APPEAL LIMIT WENT ON FOR 2 MONTHS 60 DAYS!!! Past federal regulation.
There are laws against neglecting disabled and elderly patients. Stopping an individuals medical care and narcotic pain meds from 6 states away!!! Insurance malpractice!!! A licensed nurse or "insurance doctor" can be charged in both states! Stopping a physician's orders without examining or telling the patient. Malpractice! Then ignoring the patients calls as he gets worse? All while being paid by the U.S. Government? How would you feel? If you father, god forbid died because of this type of practice? It is happening every day... This is not what i fought and bled for. Now we need you to protect us. Please!!! Bless you...
