My daughter received a "Notice of Debt Collection" from this company allegedly working for e-bay and demanding payment by 10th April.
My daughter has been working for an NGO in Costa Rica since the beginning of January and no payment demands have been received at our address from e-bay and no amount is owing to them.
The Transworld letter is poorly printed and the "payment slip" is merely a poor photocopy at the bottom of the letter and there is no "tear-off" facility as you would normally expect. When trying to contact them I was directed to another number (which I didn't call).
I have contacted e-bay on this and they are looking into it. I shall also be taking the letter to the local police station later today.
This letter appears to be a scam and I suggest any recipients of similar letters (and no debt) do the same.
