A person calling himself Robert Dennis sent a check via Fedx in amt. Of $1980 with instructions to keep $200 for shopper, WalMart $50, Western Union charges andtransport, Amt. To send to a Americo Simoes at Central Islip, NY 11722.
Another check arrived 3/24 for $3800 with simular instructions to a Valerie Vonderhofen, Richmond Hills, NY 11418 and a second to Nancy Noles, Central Islip, NY 11722.
Trusting me did not catch the fraud until the second check came. Did not use it.
State police and FBI were notified.
E-mail came from this Robert Dennis asking if I had received instructions for the second check. I did not reply and his phone calls to me seem to have stopped. He would not leave a message on the ans. Machine.
