Bob Morris contacted me on Facebook and we became friends but he wanted more. I became more than friends because he said that he was a christian man and would like to come back to the USA and start up a new company here after retiring from the UK.
The character Bob Morris said that he had been awarded a contract and was not sure if he should take it because of where it was located but that it would help him on start up capital. I asked him where the contract was located and he said Africa. I told him that it was his choice. Shortly after being there, he came on facebook in a panic and said that he was robbed at gun point in his hotel room and that two guards were shot to death. He kept asking me what should he do.
He said that all of his contract money was in cash and in the hotel room. I thought that was very nieve for a man of his education. He got upset with me and asked me to drop it. Later, we went over the whole contacting the bank and credit cards and such and he asked me for money. I told him that I didn't have any because I am currently not working and going through physical complications. I told him to ask his friends and family who knew him.
He kept asking me and told me that they were fixing to throw him in prison for not paying his bill and laborers. He begged me for some help and I didn't want to but gave in a sent him $240 plus the $10 wire fee by Western Union. He said that he is not a citizen there and I would have to send it to his assistant. I did reluctantly.
He kept pressing me for more money and that I should give to him because we are to be married soon but I couldn't give him the 4K or the 2K he requested from me. I told him to just let me go and find someone else. He said that we should never let money come in between us and kept telling him that it already had.
He then began to make statementsf how he needed $500 for food and for his hotel bill and that he hadn't eaten in days. He also said that no one else would help him over there and that he is stuck with out my help. I told him that I would have to pray and seek advice but didn't get to talk to anyone about the situation due to having to go to different appointments.
I sent him $300 plus the $10 wire fee from Western Union on February 01. He thanked me for my help but I felt that something just wasn't right with all of this. He said that he hadn't eaten in days and then when he thanked me, he said he was going to dinner. I thought it was from the money I had just wired him but he said that he couldn't get the funds until the following Monday. How could he suddenly be eating without money??? His game was to trust no one because they would try to come in between us and that was the game.
I contacted a Wendy Collins on Bob's profile and she accepted and we began talking and found out that we both were having the same scam run on us only she had given him a considerable amount and I only gave $540 plus $20 in fees. She was contacted months before I was and had been wooed by this character longer than I had. He was supposed to show up in Australia and marry her Christmas of 2012.
She was heart broken but he gave her some excuse as to why he couldn't come to her and that he would come there after this contract work was done and marry her. All the while, he was now talking to me and had asked me to marry him but I told him he was moving too fast. But by talking to him every day, time seems to not play a role in the mascarade of sweeping you off your feet.
I told the other Wendy that we needed to confront him and she asked for time to think things over. I sent her forwarded messages from Bob and I show she could see for herself the game he was playing. I confronted him and he got on with the other Wendy at the same time and he didn't know that I was on with her as well.
He told her to not listen to me, that I was the devil and a witch trying to tear them apart. I told him that he was stupid because I was talking to her while talking to him. He begged me not to go but then said that he would let me go because it might be better for me. All the while, telling the other Wendy not to listen to me. I sent her a half of a months worth of messages and she decided he was scamming her and we both left him. He blocked us both and probably reported us a scam on facebook because our messages from him showed blocked out.
I still have my receipts from Western Union with the information if needed. Please let me know what can be done about this. Thanks you for your time and effort in this situation. I also have the copy forwarded to Wendy Collins.
