On Feb 7 I received a text message stating that I was chosen as one of the lucky winner of GBP 1,000, 000 - already doubtful about this, but out of curiosity I just emailed them advise the process on how to claim.
On Feb 12 they emailed to me two. Pdf files (certification and letter of contact info) so opened them and printed it out. Wow looks convincing, I really had to think twice so tried to check the said official homepage but it seemed not a valid page then I had to check scam book sites and so much thankful for the confirmation that this is a SCAM.
I read several complaints about this Free Lotto and there were even several who was forces to send money to this scammers.
I tried to put toghether there strategies. They are just trying to confuse new victims by going in circle by changing emails and contact names for example
1) one complaints said that he had to contact Edwin Edgar but with my letter I had to contact Jonathan Edgar
2) One complaint said he should email [email protected] and with me was [email protected]
3) They even have now some consolation prize like T-shirts, Face cap, Blackberry mobile phone, and Apple Laptop (courtesy of Apple) hope Apple needs to be advice of such scam they are even using Apples name
I guess the common denominator here is the name Brian Calton
Thank God I got to check first Scambook. So I urge other possible victims to invetigate first before getting excited with such enticing text messages.
If in a real case that you are a real winner they can just deduct the cost from the said winning amount and not make up stories that you need to pay for insurance and other cost.
I would even give them the of 30percent of the winnings if it was true.
Hahaha For all who are doing these SCAM —SUPER BAD KARMA for all of you!
