Jan. 29 I came across a Dr. Oz clip about saffron extract in pill form. The website led me to Pure Saffron Slim. I carefully read the ad, chose one bottle and the bonus bottle for which my total charges would be less than $50. Two days later, I found that they had debited my account to the tune of $163. I called, was told my order was shipped, and while trying to talk over me and avoid my claims, the rep treated me like an idiot. She finally gave me the return authorization number and I shipped it back, but she said per the fine print my refund would take up to thirty days. I said I'd been scammed and since they were able to charge me immediately, they could refund me as soon as the return was received. She continued arguing and I hung up.
I went to my bank and they called the so-called Fulfillment Center and was told the shipment went out already. The bank could not cancel the charge once that occurred.
Per the USPS tracking, the shipment was delivered back to the company on Jan. 31. It is now Jan. 3d and no refund has been issued. I intend to return to the bank on Monday with proof of delivery. I will send a demand letter to the company and copy it to the Georgia State Attorney General and file a report with the FBI as well.
Do you have any means to enforce an immediately refund? As I read other complaints, this is obviously their "mo" scam as the exact same amount has been charged to others as well. Thank you.
