Scamming attempt details:

1) Posted an ad on CL looking to sell some books.

2) Got email from smith. [email protected] ("Robert Harris") asking if books were available and an address to mail payment.

3) Received overnight fedex envelope on 1/23 with check for $2,000 from company M&M Sales, Inc 3336 greencastle rd. Burtonsville, MD 20866.

4) Received email from Robert harris asking me to deposit the check and western union him the difference (hahahahahahahahahhahaha)

5) Responded to email asking for confirmation of who M&M is and the signature on the check ("Maria West")

6) Got response from a DIFFERENT email address: [email protected] (JOHN BISHOP)
