Delsy claimed to be the tenant of an apartment located at 235 West 56th Street, which I was interested in subletting for a period of 2 weeks over the Christmas holiday. Arias was supposedly the landlord, and I sent $750 to her through Western Union. The other half of the balance was to be paid upon arrival. Then, Delsy said the other half needed to be paid before arrival or they would rent to another person willing to pay in full immediately. I suspected a scam, and asked for a refund, to which he responded "too bad."
