We receive phone calls and letters on a regular basis stating we owe more than what is due. The phone calls are very harassing and rude. The property and maintenance fees constantly go up yearly. How can this be so when their or so many people that own each one.
They put non owners ahead of the owners. They rent these timeshares out and are constantly making money on them. They say the maintenance fees are to make repairs on them. We have ours in the Smoky Mountains and we stay there they are not making upgrades. They are not painting, caulk jobs are real poor. For the money they are asking, the property should have much better upkeep.
Since Orange Lake has taken over, the properties have gone down. Their customer service is very poor and is unacceptable.
What started out as something we would enjoy has turned out to be a nightmare. It has left a bad taste in our mouth and we highly recomend that no one else ventures into this with this company.
We purchased ours in Dec. 2005. We were there for a getaway after losing everything we owned in hurricane Katrina. One of the body snachers as they are called gave us free tickets and some cash to get us to purchase. This is a misatke we have to live with every day of our lives.
We never had any problems when dealing with RCI. They were always helpful and helped you get what you wanted. We refer to it as the Orange Lake mistake.
