I checked my credit card statement this morning and was surprised and disappointed to see that I had been ripped off. EL DORADO SALES of Phoenix, AZ, also DBA easynews.com, had charged my credit card for $9.98.
When I phoned EL DORADO SALES at 602-212-9607, Jason, who identified himself as tech support for easynews.com, was not willing to help me unless I gave him my credit card number. I declined his request. He said my credit card account was charged because I had visited their website and ordered their service. Knowing this to be untrue, I asked to speak to the president of the company, Mr. Jeff A. Minor. Not surprisingly, Mr. Minor was not available and there was not another living, breathing human being available who could, much less would, help me.
Therefore, I have had to take the following steps: notify my credit card company and cancel my credit card, formally dispute the charges, contact the State Attorney's office, and file a police report.
