Complaint / Review
Proxibid - online auction company
False advertising

I'd bought a little necklace through Proxibid’s market from the business named Bunach Auctioneering which was marketed to be 14k gold. After I obtained the necklace, I had been really dismayed to locate that it had been inexpensive gold-colored plastic, not really goldplated.

Convinced that Proxibid might remain behind the things they promoted, I named them-and talked to some Tom Clark. He essentially stated too poor, you purchased it, you're caught with it. I really could not think they'd not remain behind the things they promoted. Numerous emails returned and forth between Proxibid and myself and that I actually published a notice towards the Leader of Proxibid and not seen back from him.

I approached my lender plus they believed to deliver the necklace back, certified email plus they might change the costs off my charge card. I did so this and costs were corrected.

I thought all was around, child was I wrong. I began receiving emails from Tom Clark declaring when used to do not purchase the necklace plus “penalties” these were likely to document having a variety company and damage my credit.

Listed Here Is a contact from Tom Clark:

I highly recommend that you simply create payment plans for that total sum plus fines ASAP. Slowing cost make a difference your credit backgrounds for a long time continue.

Greatest,

Tom Clark

I sent emails and characters back and finally named Tom Clark. He was really cynical and rude and chuckled and me and stated they'd “ruin my credit easily didn't purchase the necklace combined with the penalties”. I told him I had been not likely to purchase a inexpensive bit of plastic which was wrongly marketed to be 24 kt platinum, and besides, I'd previously delivered it.

Ultimately, I began receiving characters from debt collectors declaring that Proxibid was the lender and that I owed them the cash. I wound up processing grievances against Proxibid with Nebraska’s Attorney-General as well as the Better Business Bureau of Nebraska. Should you continue the BBB’s web site for Omaha, you'll observe they've numerous grievances filed against them.

I'd strongly recommend anybody from buying something through Proxibid. Unlike Ebay, you CAn't begin to see the rankings of the vendors. Their vendors spend Proxibid to market their products on Proxibid.com. I then found out later the vendors may charge you, the customer, along with other vendors may blackball you when they don’t like your score. However, you, the customer, can't price the sellers; how unjust.

Our advice would be to stick with Ebay where customers may charge the vendors. Ideally no body else needs to proceed through what I experienced. Exactly what a headache over only a little plastic necklace.
