I also was approached by Joshua Maccroll on Match.com. Immediately after our initial contact he asked me to go exclusively to yahoo messenger. He told a very luring and believeable story saying that he was deployed in Afganistan but he would be home in "one month." He speaks of his son who he has had to leave at the orphanage where he adopted him from because he is a widower and he has absolutely NO family. About 2 weeks into our chatting he indicates that he has not received and emails from his son, "James." He also indicated that his position in the army was top secret and that he could not reveal his whereabouts or he could be accused of treason against his country.
He provided me with the name and phone number of the caretaker and asked for me to call and see what was wrong with his son. I also was told that he had fallen and cracked his laptop and needed a new one. Joshua asked me to get one for him and send it to him and he would replace it the minute he got off the plane.
