Shopgoodwill.com
Tacoma, Wisconsin, Delaware I am a buyer for several years and I am totally fed up. I also am an Ebayer Internet

I have been shopping at shopgoodwill for several years. I am getting so fed up with what I've been seeing is getting more and more common on their sight. Customer rip offs. I have been to about 10 of their pick up sites, had thousands of items shipped, and bid too many times to count. But recently I have noticed that specific goodwill.com sellers appear to really cheat people. A lot and more frequently too. When they are caught on it and Have to refund, then their auctions change to say NO refunds and AS is even if they do not describe the lot of items honestly.

I have gotten trash in their boxes, seriously, cut up clothing pieces, etc. I have gotten many broken items. Some of the sites will refund and some will never answer you. Those seem to think it is your responsiblity as a buyer to properly wrap items for shipment, even with the ridiculous shipping and "handling" fees.

The newest ripoff was two auctions at one location that I won. (save on shipping, right?) HA. Prior to winning, I wrote to them about the item being listed as 35 pounds instead of 3.5. They assured me it would be fixed. It wasn't. Then they claimed they couldn't ship both items in the same box. Really? A doll and a doll bed that was only 4 inches high? Then they claimed they couldn't fix the shipping weight and I would have to pay it and they would refund the difference OH and they had to be done separately as they couldn't be combined or shipped together. I was ASSURED they would refund the difference in shipping. I got charged $45 JUST for the shipping. (that was NOT the "handling fee or the extra per auction fee included.) They only refunded $8.32 of that. And guess what? The items were shipped together for less than $17. This is theft and fraud, no way around it. They are not answering emails either.

I see items on shipgoodwill.com being described to lead the buyer into believing they are getting a $100 item in the listing when it in an $18 item, (smaller versions) available brand new in stores all over the country - and cheaper online. People are not buying these as a donation. They are being misled and goodwill.com is committing fraud in knowingly doing this.

Been to their pickup sites? OMG. Most of their employees are not Disadvantaged. And management is very very well paid. And not just management in many places. The listers and those on the floor might not be, but management is not the only well paid staff there. Check it out. Find out how they hire and why it is NOT done openly.

Go into their thrift stores and stay 1/2 hour and you will see employees sneaking items to the front and not putting them out. I've seen this in 5 different states. Go into their "by the pound" outlets and you will be horrified by what you see and what they have.

Yup, they are schill bidding. I've seen it too much. Yup, they are selling things for more than other places. (It is not people attempting to donate. What a stupid thing to say.) PLUS the unbelievable shipping charges. Ask and you get told it is orange county's fault. Orange county tells you it is the original sites. Go to goodwill.com and they will tell you they can't do anything.

I wish an attorney out there somewhere would file some type of class action suit against goodwill.com. It's the only way it will ever straighten out. You should always be leary of all "non profits." a non profit and a not for profit are not the same thing. They just have to make sure that there is no profit listed on the books. That is so easily taken care of... Higher salaries, new buildings, conferences, "training", etc. It's a paper shuffle.
