Products not Delivered, Poor Customer Service, Hides Bad Reviews

Savemore.com is a business that offers outrageous deals on items from other merchants - $5 for a $10 Subway card, $10 for $30 worth of bath and body products - you get the picture. They offer a $10 credit for signing up and another $10 for every friend that you refer that makes a purchase on the site. That's a pretty sweet deal and enticed a lot of people I knew, including myself, into joining up.

That's about where the awesomeness ends with Savemore.com. Since I signed up in August, I have made six orders for vouchers from Savemore and for products via their "merchants".in that time, I have seen three of those orders arrive - and only one that was not backordered or delayed in some way, although even that one had a bit of a shady story to it.

9/7 - I used my vouchers for Powerbands. Tv and TheVaseStore.net to purchase items. At no time during the purchase process was I advised of the length of time it would take to ship the items to me.

9/20 - I contacted both Powerbands. Tv and TheVaseStore.net regarding shipment and delivery of the items as I had not yet received them.

9/21 - I received responses from both merchants indicating that they both take 10-14 business days to ship their product.

9/21 - I purchased and utilized a voucher for InspiredShades.com.

9/22 - I received an email from InspiredShades.com, indicating that my order had shipped. A USPS tracking number was provided. This number was inaccessible for over a week.

9/27 - I purchased a voucher for SlapGear.net. I also purchased and utilized a voucher for GadgetGear. Tv.

9/29 - I emailed Powerbands. Tv and TheVaseStore.net again to inquire on my purchases. I received a response on that day, from both companies, indicating that they were experiencing delays and that I would receive a confirmation, plus tracking information, once my orders had shipped.

10/1 - I purchased and utilized a voucher for WaterBottle. Bz. I also utilized the previously purchased SlapGear.net voucher.

10/3 - I received one invoice and two shipment notifications from Powerbands. Tv. No tracking information was provided. On this date, I received the order from InspiredShades.net. Tracking information available at the time showed that it had not been shipped until 9/30.

10/5 - I received one invoice and one shipment notification from TheVaseStore.net. No tracking information was provided.

10/11 - On this date, I was banned from commenting on the Savemore.com Facebook wall. (To date, despite numerous inquiries, they have avoided my question as to why I was banned.) I also emailed Savemore, requesting information on where my items were and if they would ever be shipped.By this time, I had five pending orders with their various merchants. I contacted Savemore via their Facebook contact form on this date.

10/14 - Since I had not yet received a reply from Savemore, I attempted to contact them by phone, but had no success. I instead emailed them again, requesting follow-up on my previous requests.

10/19 - I received an order confirmation from Powerbands. Tv despite not having made another order. I then received an email from Powerbands. Tv indicating that they had resubmitted my order since I had not yet received it.

10/19 - I also received an email from Savemore, indicating that they had contacted each merchant for each item I had ordered. I was advised then that Waterbottle. Bz would take 14-21 business days to ship and deliver, Slapgear.net would also take 14-21 days to ship and deliver, my order from TheVaseStore.net had shipped on 10/5 (although no shipping confirmation was provided), Powerbands. Tv had shipped my order on 10/3 and had created a new order for me since my original one had not made it, and that I should allow another business week for the arrival of my GadgetGear. Tv purchase.

10/28 - I contacted Savemore again, first attempting to contact them by phone and, when that failed, I sent them another email.By that time, I had finally received my orders from TheVaseStore.net and Powerbands. Tv. I had not yet received my orders from the other merchants (with the exception of InspiredShades.)

10/28 - I received an email from Savemore that same day. I was told that Waterbottle. Bz had shipped my order that day and it should be received within 3-5 business days. I was told that Slapgear.net was on backorder and should be shipping out in the next week. I was also told that my order from GadgetGear. Tv had been shipped on 10/26, although I had received no shipment confirmation from the company itself. I also did not receive a shipment confirmation from Waterbottle. Bz.

11/2 - I contacted Savemore - again, I attempted to contact them via phone, but was unsuccessful.instead, I sent another email inquiring on the arrival of my items, as none of them had arrived yet.

11/7 - As I did not receive a reply to my previous email, I sent another. I received a reply on the same day and was advised that my order from Waterbottle. Bz had shipped out the week prior. My Slapgear.net order was still on backorder and should "ship within the next week". I was also told that my GadgetGear. Tv order had already shipped and should arrive "one day this week".

11/7 - I noticed also, on this day, that Savemore had credited my Savemore account with $15 in credits on 11/4. I questioned this and they advised me that this was because of the delay in shipping the orders from Powerbands. Tv and TheVaseStore.net and because I had requested a refund. At no time had I requested a refund and no point did Savemore advised that they would be providing one.

As you can see, we're two months into this and I'm still waiting on three items to be delivered. Savemore hides behind claims that their merchants are behind or that items are on backorder. Unfortunately, nearly every one of their merchants has this issue. Their Facebook wall is littered with unhappy customer complaints that only stay up for a short time before Savemore staff delete them, leaving only the positive feedback to be found. I only made a few comments on their wall, trying to get resolution on my issues, and was banned. I have heard from other unhappy customers that have also been banned after posting disparaging comments about the poor service they received from Savemore.

An interesting note - with the exception of Inspired Shades, all of the "merchants" that I ordered from through Savemore turn out to all be in the Texas area. All of their websites are similarly designed. All of the emails that they send you from each individual business (if they send you any at all) are all similarly laid out. It's as though there are no separate companies and Savemore is truly the vendor for most of these "deals". I know that's a little bit conspiracy theory of me, but it's definitely something to give you pause.

Either way, stay far far far far away from Savemore.com and spread the word to your friends, too. It's not worth the hassle to get something for cheap or free.
