I also bought Jennifer Johnson's data-entry work from home scam. Then I was contacted by Fortune Learning Systems. I had just lost my job and needed an income with having 3 teens and a mortgage. I paid $8.620.00 on 2 different credit cards to them in return for a functioning website as a drop shipper. I was told no more money would ever be asked of me and that they would provide all the training, software, coaching, and marketing.
I was then contacted by their Business Development Division and paid $5,000.00 to set up "correctly" and LLC. I ended up doing most of the work myself on my states website. Later I found out I could have done the same thing for way less! My business contact Faye Ferguson, tried to get me to apply for corporate credit, when I couldn't even pay the minimums on my credit cards and didn't have a website making any money. I tried to dispute the charges with my credit card companies but was denied.
They have been charging me $39.95/month for a site that has brought in no money for over a year now. I also was contacted by a liaison, Heather, who for another $100.00 had a "programmer" "fix" my site. Now the site is not connected to my web builder and I cannot edit it or use it.
The coaching was not consistent, e-mails and phone calls were not returned. I was refused a refund, even though they did not provide the services they said they would. And then to top it all off, Heather wanted me to pay an additional $2,500.00 for marketing! This was suppose to be included! Now I have no marketing and they didn't even put meta tags in for my website that the programmer supposedly fixed. Shouldn't a programmer know to copy and paste from my original site these things that are so important for SEO?
This company has really taken a lot of people for a ride, and I feel for every one of us! If anyone has any suggestions in regards to what recourse we have please let me know. Can't we file a class-action lawsuit? I have wrote the BBB in Utah and filed a complaint with the FTC.
