I signed up for hosting with HostGator.com because it was reasonably priced and seemed to have an easy website builder. After three hours, I don't have a website. The technical support guy was beyond lost as to my problem, didn't pay attention to what I wanted, and didn't help at all. After begin frustrated, I asked for a refund. I was told I would have to contact customer support. So I called customer support, and they told me I had to go online to cancel my account. I asked if I could do it over the phone, and he said no. I asked about a refund, and he said I would have to reply to the confirmation email regarding cancelling my account asking for a refund and that I would get my money back in 3 days.
Great. I just wanted to build a website. Tonight. Now I have to wait 3 days because I don't have money to give to people to "hold" for me for 3 days.
Don't go with them. Their web site building service is anything BUT easy!
