I feel bad for thoose of you who lost more than I have. My total loss is almost $1500.00. That includes shipping.
I talked to Jessica and described my business. I have a small gift shop where I weave baskets, chair seats, and give weaving classes. I wanted to add a little variety to my shelves such as small appliances, any kind of K-mart merchandise. I asked her about a $200 pallet and she actually said "no you don't want that, it's all store returns". She then suggested a K-mart pallett for $325. I agreed to order that as she said it was shelf pulls, overruns, etc.
I then asked about the "retail ready pallet" for $650. I assumed that it was new and ready to be priced and put on my shelves. I agreed to order it as Jessica said it was packed right there and was real nice stuff.
The K-mart pallet came so smashed up that one of the truckers had to have it tied up with ropes. It consisted of all, and I mean all store returns. Everything has parts missing or is broken. I can't imagine even a junk shop buying this stuff.
The retail ready pallett was so filthy the trucker said it must have been stored for a long time. It consisted of products that were new but mostly from the stone age. My favorite is a box of two hundred kids watches that don't work. And what am I gonna do with 200 jars with no lids!
I contacted the company several times and at first they said they would make it up but their idea was to send another palett of K-mart store returns. I refused that offer, it's going to cost me a lot to have this junk hauled away so of course I don't more. At one point they offered me a Macee's pallet for a discount - Ha - I'm gonna send them more money. Not. Jessica had a real smirky, cocky attitude.
Since then I have contacted the Minnesota Attorney Generals office. They have sent a letter asking that Mywebwholesaler make it right. I won't hold my breath. Anyone wanting to hear more of what the Attorney General's office said can contact me.
Unless I get satisfactory results I plan to send a copy of my letter to as many people as I can think of including K-mart, FTC, BBB. I would also send to anyone who has an attorney on this. Even have a contact in Australia to notify.
Maybe there is a way we can get the state attorny generals offices together on this?
I will update this report when I have results whatever they may be.
