Showcase listings is an internet marketing company that promises you the front page of yahoo and google. I had been with showcase listings, for a longtime and had noticed that I was coming up on the first pages of yahoo and google. At first they were real attentive and eager to help.
Well thank god I had been real busy for a while in my automotive business. Not only from the business generated online but from word of mouth and other advertising. I had some downtime and started checking online along with getting word from other online marketers that I was not coming up on the first pages anymore. I did not believe it, in january we expanded our automotive shop I asked showcase listings to start putting our company under tires and alignment.
Come the end of April I get another phone call from another shady company called Top Rank listing that states that I am not on the first page. I check and I realize that out of all 50 keywords that Showcase was putting me under I was only coming up on like three and I was not on the first page. I called and asked Norma what the deal was with my listing and that since Jan. 2010 I had asked to be displayed in tire & alignments and I was not listed.
I asked for a resolution and her response was "well let me get with the girls and see what is going on with your account, (giggling)" I dont know what that meant. But I said sure, she also asked if I could send her and email stating that I wanted her and only her to manage my account I said sure. I did not hear from Norma All day until I had to call again at the end of the day. Her answer to me was that the name of my company caused a problem with google. I told her that is ridiculous that did not make any sense. I asked why no one had called me about this problem. I also asked to have a refund or have a few months free since they did not do their job. She said she would get back to me on that.
Again I had to call and ask what the situation was. She told me that they would only be willing to give me one month free. I was not happy with this as I felt that for the past several months they had not done their job. I told her that their was no need for that as I would be closing my account with them.
Their is no customer service from this company. They promise you the world and once you dont pay attention they will just overlook your account. It is unfortunate, that these companies are allowed to operate the way they do. They come across really eager to earn your business, but the minute that their is a problem, a question or concern, forget about it. It is also unfortunate that it is hard to find a good online marketing company. As running a business is difficult enough having to do online marketing should be alot easier. I tried another company only to find the same problems as Showcase listings. I am actually still looking for another company. I hope this review helps and or prevents others from being burned like I have.
