My first printer purchase was a Canon Bubblejet. From day one I had nothing but grief with it. Telephone tech support calls was at my expense and they kept me on hold until I hung up after 20 -30 minutes each time while I paid AT&T for silence.
I then went to email tech support. After days of waiting for a reply the answers I got were of no help. Snail mail got the same results. It may very well have been that my own inexperience and lack of skills as a beginner caused my problems. I finally tossed the printer and bought a Lexmark. A FAR better product with a DREAM of a tech support setup - and with an 800 number to boot!
Canon however is consistent. I had film processed with prints and a photo CD. Of course I couldn't get it to open. Of couurse it was a Canon CD maker at the store. I emailed Canon with the problem and asked for a solution. Of course Canon's response was, NOT OUR YOB: GO BACK TO THE STORE; even though it was a Canon machine that makes the CDs.
I wouldn't use another Canon product if they GAVE it to me!!!
