Failure to install service, but we are still being BILLED London

After moving house recently, we chose to switch to Virgin Media for TV and broadband Internet service because they assured us it would be installed in one week. I was sceptical because Virgin has a reputation for bad customer service, but went ahead because we really needed Internet for work and school as. The installation was scheduled for January 12th. My wife took a day off of work (a precious vacation day). Of course, no one turned up. We called and were informed that someone on their side had made a mistake. We were told someone would call us back to reschedule the installation. No one called. On the 14th, someone did turn up to install it. Problem is, we were not contacted and thus, were at work. So we called again, this time to be told that the installation was now scheduled for February 1st. We only chose these morons because they promised to have it installed in a week! And the best bit: We are being billed from the 12th! Do not use Virgin Media. They will not deliver on their promises.
