I have been trying to get a $200 payday loan to help pay my car note since I was laid off. I have gotten one in the past with no problem. I kept being sent from one website to another. I never did get a payday loan so I just gave up. Well I woke up this morning and to find out that I was being charged $17.97 for PLRC (Payday Loan Resource Center). I never got a single email or anything in the mail saying that I was a part of this company. I called my bank to get the number for this company and to find out who they were. Bank rep gave me the information and I called. I spoke with a rep named Dina and she said that she could cancel my membership but WOULD NOT give me a refund of the $17.97. I advised her that they were stealing $ from people who needed their help. I asked for a supervisor and she put me on hold for 47 minutes and never came back to the phone or anything. So I called on my landline and guess what, I get Dina again. I told her that she supposedly transferred me to a supervisor and that I was still waiting for one on me cell. She then says that she told me that there was not a supervisor available. She said that she did. I advised her that this call was being recorded and that she may want to rethink what she was saying. She then put me on hold with and there was just silence. No annoying music or anything. She still felled to give me my cancellation # for this imaginary membership that I never signed up for. If anyone has any idea how we can stop this from happening to other people and getting our $ back please help us.
