Websaveclub.com - IWorksIworks Inc
IWorks, Inc., Network Agenda, MyGrantSite, WebSaveClub, Raven Media Cancelled account and STILL charged a month later. Now they can't find the charge!

This has been a nightmare! I purchased the $2.95 Government Grants CD on February 21, and NEVER saw or read anything about additional "clubs" I was joining. I'm very careful about ordering anything online so when the bills for $7.95, $9.95, and $34.95 started coming in March, I was blindsided. It's taken me months to get these monkeys off my back and I haven't succeeded yet! One company I called, a man answered in what sounded like a mall, was very unprofessional, said he'd get right back to me, and left me on hold for 15 minutes before I hung up!
I have been attempting to cancel this account with websaveclub.com since March 21. They charged me $34.95 in March, then April and May. I disputed each charge and FINALLY managed to find the company's phone number in May to get the account cancelled. They don't make it very easy to contact them. I talked with "Anna" and she supposedly cancelled my account. This was on May 28. I also cancelled my credit card that I used with this transaction and was reissued a new card with a new number. I do not use that card online.
Now I was checking my credit card statement for July, and websaveclub.com has AGAIN charged my account $34.95! This was over a MONTH after I had been given a new card! How did these people get my new credit card number?
The phone number I had for websaveclub before (1-866-616-1118) has a disconnect "busy" signal. Their website is "down for maintenance." I called my credit card and had a new card reissued, as well as another dispute filed. I managed to find another number on this consumer complaints site and spoke with a representative there named "Tiffany." Tiffany told me there was NO charge of $34.95 on my account. I saw it with my own eyes, the credit card rep. Saw it there as well. I wasn't making it up. But this woman told me there was NO charge. Then she transferred me to her "supervisor, " named Tico. It took 10 minutes of hold time to get him on the phone. Tico told me there was NO charge on my account, that the thing had been cancelled effective May 28, and he couldn't understand how I'd been charged. He wanted to know how the transaction name showed up on the credit card statement. Huh? Then I had to verify the last 4 numbers on my credit card that was used this past July. I was VERY uncomfortable giving this to these people. Then I was instructed to send something to the Fax Resolution Dept. Regarding this charge. It was all seeming like a runaround. I flat-out refuse to deal with these people any longer.
I have filed a complaint with the FTC and with our Attorney General's office, as well as my credit card company. I did this back in June and received a terse reply from iWorks General Manager, Ryan Riddle, that I had somehow forged the Internet document, that I had gone through 3 pages and each of those pages had the information on them, but they were being gracious enough to give me refunds of my remaining membership fees. Since iWorks is obviously the parent company of all of these companies, I don't know why I had to contact again and again to get them to cancel my account and stop charging my cards. They don't make it easy to cancel, and they certainly aren't being very reputable business people if they are finding people's credit card numbers and charging them after the account has been cancelled.
And WHY was my new credit card charged AGAIN when I was assured this was the last I would hear from them? How did they get that number?
What a hassle. And the Government Grants CD was a joke. No special information you couldn't have found elsewhere. DON'T DO BUSINESS with these people—EVER. They will make your credit life hell.
