I ordered Easy GoogleMoney Profit Kit for US$1.97 (which came out to CN$2.52) on 19-04-09 and received it on 30-04-09. I never received email confirmation for this order. Unfortunately the DVD came infested with Trojan Horses and other viruses so it was unusable. Also, the moment I ordered this material I received a call from someone called eazytothrive.com that made reference to this order and tried to sell me their services for between $10,000 and $15,000! When I ordered GoogleMoneyProfit DVD it was clear that it was for information only and I did not give the permission to GoogleMoneyProfit to sell my address to a third party. I found out, however, that this was just beginning of my problems.
On May 05 I called Google Treasure Chest at 1-866-951-1406 the company identified on the DVD as a sender. I asked them if they were GoogleMoneyProfit and was explained that the GoogleMoneyProfit is their product and that they did send the DVD. I informed them about the viruses on the DVD and they answered that they were a very big company and they test every DVD that leaves their premises. They insisted that my anti-virus is demaged. Well, for US$1.97 loss I did not want to continue argument.
On May06, however, I got my credit card statetement and discovered that on 29-04-09 (which is one day before I ever received the DVD) my credit card was charged for US$72.21. I did not know who collected this money; the neame was not reported to the credit card. The bank gave me the phone number 1-866-957-0020 to ask for the refund before they take further action. I got customer service who told me that they made this charge because by ordering the information DVD I accepted to register with the company and that this registration costs US$72.21 per month. I insisted that I did not order any registration from them. They accepted to cancel my registration (gave me a cancelation number) and to return full amount of US$72.21 and US$1.97 but that they would send the refund 10 days after they receive back their DVD. I sent the DVD by registered mail the same day which cost me CN$14.96.
As a result, thus far, I had to pay CN$14.96 to return a DVD which was supposed to cost me CN$2.52.
As it appears my case is almost identical to the case already reported. What kind of company is this Google Money Profit? I do not believe that they are in any way associated with Google and Google should put a stop to such an use of their name. I am considering contacting anti SCAM authorities.
