Alyon Tech (aka Alyon Technologies)
Alyon Technologies) ripoff

I received a bill from Alyon Technologies on this past Saturday with billing for dates 04/10-04/12/03. At first I thought it was something from our local cable provider, which I have passcode locked since I am the only adult in my residence. The detail on the bill had "web content-adult" and I immediately took action. I first called the customer service number to get information, but their hours are only M-F. I then began questioning the youth in my home on the possibility of their actions to have been this.

Both my youth are 16 years of age or younger. The oldest has been doing a lot of research for a class at school. The topic was on web cams. Whatever website he went to, Alyon is the third party biller. Software was downloaded without my knowledge or consent. Be aware that I track my teen's actions weekly and the information that I read on my computer was somewhat discreet and masked with "fake" names. I have taken the advice of Cheri of Lake Charles, LA, about reporting this issue to all the agencies within LA, local newspapers, and federal agencies. I, also, have taken the steps (anyway I could think of) to remove their software off of my computer as Scott of New York has given steps.

If you have a youth that has stumbled upon this as mine did, make sure they don't have their own email address that you don't have access to. Make sure they only use Internet Explorer as a browser (you can set it to keep all activity for 60 days or more so that you can monitor what they tapped into). You can set the content advisor in IE, to monitor, and only give them rights to your approved web sites. And invest in a good Antivirus as well as software that will ensure that they don't go out of the box. Alyon recommeded three: Net Nanny, Cyber Patrol and Cyber sitter. You can never be too safe, this could help your female youths from being watched over the internet. Remember that Alyon has some rights to view your computer when you are not home to see if their companies that they bill for are definitely on your computer. We have even unplugged our modem until this is completely resolved. No internet usage from our home for a while. Oh, the bill was more than $500, and I expect my local telephone company to chime in with additional charges. So, off I go to contact them, as well.
