I'm tired of watching my friends struggle with this company and now it is causing me issues and that is the last straw! I see my friend who has worked hard for this company and now he can't pay his rent because the CHECK ARE NOT CASHABLE!!!
It is bad enough that there is no support, that ads don't work and the customers are canceling the service, but now the Commission check that for some have been issued OVER 30 Days after the Ad Sell are Bouncing or being denied "Non-Sufficient Funds" at the BANK!!!
When you can't cash a $50.00 Commission Check from a company that is stating they are making MILLIONS a month THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG!
The LAL CEO has been involved in several unethical business ventures, owes the State of CA around $2.5 Million in Taxes. Do you think him and his buddies would be against writing bad checks too? Apparently Not!
Why would LAL have a support department that would really provide support to the sales members and customers if they were just going to hit each city, drain the money for those that believe their words and drink their Kool-Aid! They would not and they do not! They are just moving through the country, city to city and take everything they can.
It was no surprise when someone informed me that "LocalAdLinks Top Recruiter and Trainer Gary Wood" was right up there with Bob McNulty for unethical business practices. Have a look at these links:

These LAL people are all in cahoots to take all their members for everything they can and they do not care about your issues, your bills or your money.
They are definitely not concerned for you or your customers. Any Company that has a 72 HR NO Refund policy for a service that takes longer than 72 Hours to even see the product and "then" provides no way to cancel the service is a business that is not ethical in the first place!
Sure, they tell you to send emails to cancel that ad for the customers, but all of you that have heard the truth know it takes weeks to hear back from support without an answer. Support tells you they are transferring your issue to another department and then let you know it could take several weeks for them to get back to you. Thus, you are outside of 72 HOURS, so No Refund. Nice racket they have there!

Every Single AE & BB that was part of Local Ad Link, Inc. From the initial member of the MLM until March 9 to the sum in membership of around 30,000 individuals was put in risk of identity theft.
Every time you logged in a looked at your account, all your information including your:
Full Name, DOB, SSN, Home Address, Phone Number and Email Address
That was contained on the www.localadlink.net web site was transmitted through the internet unprotected and was seen by ANYONE LOOKING because it was not secured or encrypted.
My advice to my friends and to all the LAL Members that have been part of LAL for a while is to pay close attention to your Credit Cards and your Credit Report as the result of this FTC Non-Compliance by the LAL Corporation may not be immediate, but it could truly impact your finances in the opposite ways LAL is being Advertised to you.
Apparently, several LAL Members told LAL Executives about this Security Issue for well over a month before it was finally secured. It is great that they finally secured the site, but what bugs me is any ethical company that knew their members confidential information was transmitted over the internet would at least let them know so they could protect themselves!
There are some really pissed LAL Members that I have seen on other blogs that are going to the Attorney General in NV and the BBB.org in CA about all of the issues with this company and I hope they do!
There is a guy with a screen name of "LewisLV" who states he had a meeting with the Clark County District Attorney on 4/2/09. I am interested to hear about what happens there...?
