Back in 2007 I was single and looking for love. I had tried dating sites, blind dates, everything I could think of. While doing an internet search, I had come across Ample Beauties, a mobile BBW (Big beautiful woman) dance club for single ladies looking for love. They advertised that everyone at their parties were friendly and you would have a good time. I decided to give it a try and traveled 2 hours to Rocky Hill, CT. After reserving a room, I relaxed and got ready for what I thought was going to be the night I would find someone special. It was held in the ballroom, I payed the ridiculous $15 door fee and waited for people to show up. As the night progressed, it felt like I was in highschool again. No one talked to me, all the women were cliquey, and the men were looking for only one thing. When I got home the next day I emailed the owner of the club, who went by the name of Bill, and he was very rude stating "It's not for everyone" I haven't been to an amplebeauties dance since. I feel like I got ripped off, that was a horrible night for me, it turned out to be my worst nightmare. I just wanted to get the word out that if you're looking for a dance and looking for love, and you're into big women, DO NOT GO TO AMPLEBEAUTIES! They false-advertise their dances. Either you have to be a floozy or you have to have money to burn. I recently found love 2 months after the dance, one of my co-workers asked me out and we got engaged.
