In 2007 I sold my World of Warcraft account to Gamepal, INC for around $120. I am the original owner of the account and I have not recalled it. I quit the game shortly after and I havent seen or heard from them since. A few weeks ago, I started receiving phone calls from them and I received a letter from them also, saying they I owe them $720 but it didnt really say why.
I have chosen not to speak to them on the phone, but I mailed them a response basically saying that I had no idea what they were talking about, and the inflated price that they were charging me was ridiculous. I found the other scam reports on here and it has made me even more skeptical.
I will not pay them because I have done nothing wrong and I hope to do whatever it takes to stop them from scamming others. I can see how somebody would get scared from their official-looking mail and personal phone calls, thus giving in and paying the requested money. But I feel that we should do something to stop these immoral businesses. They are an illegitimate business and have no right to be charging us these prices for things that never happened. I hope more people that this is happening to will speak out.
