I received an email from James Gordon saying he saw my resume and wanted to interview me for the Finance Manager position. He referred to a website where I should register and then call him. So I did. He speaks with a heavy accent and I couldn't understand everything he said (didn't sound like a "James Gordon" to me). So he emailed me and this is most of the job description he mailed:

We have huge database of designers mainly from Eastern Europe and Asia since they are known for the best combination of price and quality. Considering the current situation in the United States (when the companies tend to reduce the costs for advertisement and brand building) this makes our company being so popular among our clients. And that's why we want to expand to get the maximum out of this moment.
Since we receive quite complicated orders for design we have to divide the big order into small parts and work with numerous designers. Diversification makes the design process being fast, but as our experience shows, it creates a lot of inconveniences for our customers when they settle numerous bills and this causes delays in payments. We constantly strive to improve our service and that is why we have vacancies for financial managers in different states of the US.
Logically, the major functional obligation of the financial representative is to distribute the received money correctly to the employees and without delays which means at the same day. That is why the requirement is to have a bank account (personnel or business). It is simply needed to perform the job. If you would apply for a designer position we would ask for Adobe Illustrator program and, again, bank account, since that's where we would send money to.
As soon as you receive the money (be it Moneygram or wire transfer) you will deduct 5% of the total amount that will be your salary and distribute the rest according to the instructions that will look like the details of the bank accounts where you will need to transfer this money. So, you will get payment immediately. Second, everything is legal and we do not need any specific or personal information from you. Third, this job doesn't require your full day which is very convenient. And obviously you should be available on the phone during day time so that we could coordinate our work appropriately."
I've been getting a lot of these "Nigerian" scam responses lately, to everything from looking for a roommate to selling my used furniture. They want to send people phoney checks to deposit in their accounts and they'll tell you to keep 5% or something, then send them the remainder in cash. A few days later, your bank notifies you that the check was no good. They must be having some success because they're increasing and are permeating our internet market. This guy obviously has been around since at least judging by the other reports. They're really annoying and a waste of my time. I worry about the elderly or kids getting ripped off, or someone like me who's looking for work!
