I had been a member of Helium since July. Since then, I earned a total of $20.25. They've stopped paying revenue shares unless you are a "Starred" writer. I've gone 11 days without a single cent. I can't make the limit because I'm not a "Starred" writer.in the year plus, I've never even been CLOSE to one. I'm fed up, want to leave—but they will not pay out what I have earned because I'm not at the "payout Threshold". Of course, I am no longer earning because I don't have a "STAR". So, I'm STUCK.
They've found a way, apparently, to keep the writer from getting the money he or she has earned. I've contacted, complained, but most of the time I just get a "Become a starred writer, Learn how" type of message.
This type of Rip-off is truly a pain in the butt. And I am writing to my attorney to see what he thinks. If HELIUM can't pay what I have earned, I want all my work removed.
They could lower the threshold to $10.00. They could eliminate the constant rule changes. Or they can simply pay me what I have coming. What's the point in being a "Featured Writer" if you aren't earning because you can't get a star?
It's time that they Pay Up. Or go down.
